How the calculation works
Sand wax is a granular candle wax with a bulk density of about 0.51 g/cm³. For a cylindrical vessel: kg = π × (diameter ÷ 2)² × fill height × 0.5091 ÷ 1000. For a rectangular vessel: kg = length × width × fill height × 0.5091 ÷ 1000. All dimensions in centimetres.
Frequently asked questions
How much candle sand do I need for a standard vessel?
A small vessel 8 cm wide filled to 8 cm takes about 0.20 kg. A 10 × 10 cm vessel takes about 0.40 kg. A large 15 × 12 cm bowl takes about 1.08 kg. Use the calculator above for your exact size.
Can I use my own vessel?
Yes. Sand wax pours into any heat-safe vessel — glass, ceramic or stone. That is the point of a sand candle: the vessel stays, the scent returns.
What do I need besides the sand wax?
Only wicks — and every Adore Sand pack already includes them. The 1 kg refill comes with 10 wicks, the 3.5 kg refill with 40.
Is the sand wax scented?
The base sand wax is unscented and paraffin-free. Fragrance oils, composed in the UAE, are added if and how you like.
